Your adventure begins with an early-morning pick-up from your hotel in Luxor in an air-conditioned vehicle. The exact time is confirmed the evening before, based on weather and sunrise conditions.
A short drive takes you across the Nile to the hot air balloon launch field on Luxor's West Bank. Along the way your pilot checks the latest wind and weather conditions to confirm that flying is safe.
Meet your licensed pilot and ground crew, complete the passenger registration, and listen to a full safety briefing covering boarding, the flight and the landing procedure.
Watch as the balloon is inflated and the burners roar to life against the dawn sky. When the pilot gives the signal, climb into the basket with your group and get ready for take-off.
Lift off and rise gently over Luxor's West Bank as the sun rises. Soar above the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon and the Ramesseum, with the desert cliffs glowing in the morning light.
Glide over the shimmering River Nile and enjoy sweeping views of the East Bank, including the temples of Karnak and Luxor, before your pilot turns back toward the West Bank.
Your pilot brings the balloon down for a smooth landing on the West Bank. Celebrate with the crew and receive your official flight certificate as a souvenir of the experience.
After landing, you are transferred back to your hotel in Luxor, arriving in good time to enjoy the rest of your day.
