Itinerary
Your day begins with an early-morning pick-up from your hotel in Hurghada. Meet your Egyptologist guide and settle into a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle for the journey to Luxor.
Travel across the Eastern Desert on the roughly four-hour drive to Luxor, enjoying the changing desert scenery with a short comfort stop along the way.
Begin with the vast Karnak Temple complex, the largest ancient religious site in the world. Walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall, pass towering pylons and obelisks, and discover the sanctuaries dedicated to Amun-Ra.
Pause for lunch at a local restaurant on the East Bank of the Nile, recharging before heading across the river to the West Bank for the afternoon.
Cross the Nile to the West Bank and descend into the Valley of the Kings. Explore the richly decorated rock-cut tombs of the pharaohs, with their vivid wall paintings and hieroglyphs.
Admire the striking terraced Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahri, carved into the dramatic cliffs and dedicated to Egypt's famous female pharaoh.
Stop at the Colossi of Memnon, the two massive statues of Amenhotep III that once guarded his mortuary temple, for a memorable photo opportunity.
Sit back and relax on the return journey to Hurghada, with drop-off at your hotel in the evening after a full day of discovery.
